Meet Y2kati, the enigmatic alter ego of Deividas Jaroška, whose sonic explorations transcend time and genre. Emerging from a tumultuous journey through mental illness and self-discovery in 2023, Y2kati delves into the depths of early 2000s nostalgia with a fresh perspective. Drawing inspiration from the digital sounds of progressive, groove, and tribal beats, Y2kati crafts a unique sonic experience that harkens back to the era of baggy pants, first mobile phones, and tuner cars from Fast and Furious and Need for Speed Underground.

Having already made waves on stages across Beijing, Riga, Kyiv, Paris, Lyon, and Portugal’s psytrance festival ZNA, Y2kati’s presence in the global techno scene has just started. With the release of the debut EP “Mad Jester of Groove” on Lyon’s boutique label Gars Records, Y2kati invites listeners on a wild journey through the psyche, blending elements of psy techno and hard-groove rhythms with a nod to the dark allure of the “Mad Jester.”
In 2024, amidst the chaos of falling in and out of love and the relentless pursuit of artistic expression, Y2kati finds solace in co-running the event series and label, Gars, at Kablys + Club. Here, Y2kati’s mad love for mixing genre-agnostic, colorful sounds takes center stage, pushing the boundaries of conventional techno and trance music.
